Shelby and Hunter’s story begins when Shelby’s sister-in-law and Hunter’s good friend set them up. It took her sister-in-law three months of pushing for Hunter to finally reach out to Shelby. They decided to meet for a walk at a local lake where by the end of the walk, they knew there was something special. At their one year anniversary Hunter suggested taking a walk at a local pond to go see some ducks where he proposed.

As their religion is extremely important to them, they incorporated the Unity Braid Ceremony into their ceremony. This is based on Ecclesiastes 4:12 that states “a cord of three strands is not easily broken. One strand represents the bride, one the groom and the middle one is their relationship with God.

As the wedding was in December, they decided to use burgundy and navy for their color scheme. The bridemaids’ dresses were velvet with peach shawls to keep them warm (even though the day turned out nice).

As the ceremony was in the same space as the reception, our team was integral in making sure all of the details both large and small were in place during the flip. With the help of the Triple J Manor House staff and Providence Catering staff, we had the room completely transformed while the guests were outside enjoying their cocktail hour.

What I remember most about their wedding was the love Shelby and Hunter had for each other was something you could physically feel when you were with them. They were never more than a few feet from each other and were always touching one another.

We were honored to be in the room when Shelby’s bridesmaids took turns in the prayer circle offering words of love for their upcoming marriage. The emotion in the room could be felt by everyone that was a part of that special moment.

Repurposing items in a wedding is a great way to save some money and not be wasteful. We used the circular arch and the florals from it as a backdrop for the sweetheart table. Made a beautiful focal point for them when they were sitting at their table.

Another repurposing item we did was the aisle markers. They were brass circles with beautiful florals that we hung on the chairs and then moved to be incorporated into the reception centerpieces.

For the wedding cake, Shelby and Hunter purchased a simple white iced cake that we decorated by adding flowers that matched the aesthetic of the décor along with a monogrammed wooden cake topper. Since the cake was from Publix, they just delivered the cake and our team transformed it into the style that Shelby envisioned.

The photo of Shelby and Hunter leaving Triple J Manor House with a sparkler exit shows on their faces just how perfect their wedding went. We were honored to be a part of making their day exactly how they dreamed it would be.
